My Take on Homlessness (by Annie)

Last year on the mission trip I went on in Portland I had the opportunity to help some of the homeless people of the city. Seeing all those people, (including some families with young children) it really drove home to me just how lucky I am to have a roof over my head, let alone a nice T.V., wii, computer, iPod and plenty of clothes. I had never really realized just how many families, let alone all the singles, there are out there that have no place to live, and no access to a constant food source. It made me realize just how incredibly spoiled rotten I am. I mean, yeah my parents had told us many times that we were spoiled, but I didn't realize just HOW spoiled we were until I saw it first hand. All in all, I doubt I will ever consider my self lacking in any way ever again.
