On a lighter note, we have had such a wonderful week of serendipitous evenings at home!! The state of Alabama has NO idea what to do with snow. Schools close if the weather man THINKS about snow. And events have been cancelled all week. We did get almost two hours of watching the beautiful stuff fall from the sky yesterday, but almost none of it stuck here at our house. A ways east of us it stuck more, and I'm guessing that Huntsville had a bit more, even than Madison, because streets were closed, etc. (that's what they do here, rather than 'sanding' or 'plowing' they close the 'questionable' streets. One friend got stranded yesterday, because enough streets got closed around him that he couldn't get out!) But for us, it meant that there was not TaeKwonDo on Monday, or on Thursday. We didn't go Tuesday because we were preparing for our trip to get the truck. No Pathfinders last night either. So all of our evenings were at HOME this week. We played games, we got things done, we relaxed, we watched a bit of TV with the older girls. We relaxed. (did I mention that we relaxed) Lon didn't go up to work this week either (Though he will be up there ALL week next week, sort of to make up for it). So it has been almost like a little unexpected extension of the Christmas break time (at least in the evenings). It's been pretty nice. Wonderful what a little 'threat of snow' can do for you!! (there is even a late start in many local schools today, because it snowed yesterday! Go figure!)
